Analyze all the latest figures of Russian imports of fresh and frozen Atlantic salmon from around the globe, for Jan through July 2015
What happened after the Aug. 7 ban? Find out all the key data on salmon volumes, importers and exporters into Russia for January through July 2015, with this report.
Compiled by Customs Inform,
Atlantic Salmon Imports to Russia Jan - July 2015 provides a ranking of Russia's
top 50 Atlantic salmon importers for the period.
The report also
details all the exporters to Russia for the period, ranked by volume, value and country of origin.
The data clearly reflects the change in trade flows caused by Russia's food import sanctions imposed on Aug. 7, 2014. With key suppliers
Norway and the
United Kingdom shut off,
Chile and the Faroe Islands have emerged to fill the gap, and accounted for 100% of all volumes from January to July 2015.
However, this was not enough to replace the missing volumes and when compared to the first seven months of 2014, imports of salmon to Russia are
down by 44%.
This is even though import prices (in USD) have been severely lower than in 2014 -- with the exception of July -- as shown by a month-by-month breakdown of the average prices for both years.
An
EXCEL version with access to the raw data including full data on all transactions is also available on demand at no extra cost, just email us at
