Analyze all the latest figures of Russian imports of mackerel from around the globe, for Q1, Q2 and Q3 2014
Find out all the key data on mackerel volumes, importers and exporters into Russia for January through September 2014, with a comparison with data for Jan - Sept 2013, with this report.
Compiled by Customs Inform,
Mackerel Imports to Russia Jan – Sept 2014 provides a ranking of Russia's
top 60 mackerel importers, and of the top exporters, for the period.
The data reveals Iceland has established itself as by far the largest exporter, supplying nearly three times the volumes of the second largest exporter both in the first nine months of 2013 and 2014.
Coming amid Russia's Aug. 7 ban on western food imports, the report shows Russia’s mackerel imports have not been heavily affected by the ban to date, as key supplier Iceland, along with the Faroes, remained open for business, and as the main season for the UK and Ireland is only just starting.
Although Russia's overall mackerel imports were down year-on-year by the end of September, this decrease was true already before Aug. 7.
